Janette obtained her MA whilst serving as Fellow and Bursar of Pembroke College, Oxford during the late 1990’s until 2002 when she bought a ceramic manufacturing business out of administration and created a niche market selling ceramic tableware to emerging countries such as Poland and creating an internet business through Amazon UK and Amazon USA.
She returned to the role of Bursar in 2005 and brought her business, finance and marketing experience to the aid of King Edward VI Grammar school (KES). She sought experience of the Independent sector to ‘complete’ her knowledge and experience, which now covers work

In 2014 Janette established Bursarservices to offer help and guidance to educational establishments finding themselves in a new era of self management. Janette's philosophy has always been to bring a logical consistent approach to the work of delivering support to the core teaching activities out of which creativity can flourish. She maintains her CPD and following her PRINCE2 accreditation has added property management and development including a holiday let to a Highland retreat.
Away from work, Janette has a passion for salmon fishing, black Labradors and country pursuits, the Scottish Highlands and oil painting.
